StaFi (short for Staking Finance) is a DeFi protocol aimed at unleashing the liquidity of staked assets. The STAFI Protocol aims to resolve the contradiction between token liquidity and Mainnet security by issuing ABT tokens that enable liquidity for Staking assets.
What is StaFi (FIS)?
According to statements, the ABT token enhances the stake rate to a higher level (theoretically 100%) and makes it exchangeable. Security is directed by the STAFI Protocol, which ensures that the ABT token is the only collateral that can be used to reclaim staking advantages from the original staking blockchain.
On the other hand, rBridge allows the exchange of FISH and Token into ERC20, suggesting numerous use cases in Ethereum DeFi such as collateral, stablecoins, and lending.
StaFi describes itself as the first DeFi protocol that brings liquidity to staked assets. Users can stake PoS tokens through StaFi and receive rTokens, which are available for transactions, while earning staking rewards.
rToken stands for reward token. When users share their PoS tokens through StaFi, they receive an equivalent amount of rToken in return. For example, rAtom represents staked Atom, while rXTZ represents staked XTZ. rToken allows users to transact directly with rTokens, enabling them to access liquidity and staking rewards at any time. Users also have the right to use the corresponding amount of staked tokens whenever they wish.
FIS is defined as the native token on the StaFi Chain. To contribute to network security, pay transaction fees on the StaFi chain, and use rTokens, FIS needs to be staked.
