Guy Turner, an expert name closely followed by cryptocurrency investors, made an ambitious statement. Known for his high-gain targeted altcoin comments during the bull season, he announced one of the stars of the next bull season. So how was he basing his ambitious prediction? Here are the details.
Crypto Bull Season
In his latest market update, Guy Turner claimed that Aptos‘ rival Sui will bring much better returns than other cryptocurrencies in the next bull season. SUI is a recently launched smart contract platform that is known for its similarity to Aptos. Like Aptos, it supports the Move programming language and is a layer1 solution.
“SUI could very easily become one of the best performing cryptocurrencies in the next cycle.”
While Turner is bullish on SUI in the long term, he has concerns about supply. SUI investors should care about supply because the circulating supply is currently quite low. This supply will multiply over time and the popular altcoin will need to reach larger market capitalizations to reach historic highs.
SUI Coin Circulating Supply
Supply will multiply significantly over the next 2 years. Turner points to key openings between November and May 2025 and says that big waves of selling could shake the price. If supply doubles, the market capitalization would have to increase at the same rate for the price to double. That means more investors and liquidity will be needed.
“There will be a big token unlock in November this year, May next year and May 2025. Considering that SUI was sold (to Andreessen Horowitz) for $0.03 and other crypto (venture capital firms) for $0.10, this could cause significant selling pressure. It is also possible that ordinary people who participated in SUI token sales on KuCoin, OKX and Bybit may also experience selling pressure given that they bought at similar prices.”
Turner goes on to say that despite the high interest in SUI, its price is still relatively low. According to the analyst, SUI’s stagnation may be due to its launch during the bear market, and its price should see an increase once Hong Kong starts to enact crypto guidelines for individual investors.
