Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced its support for the Wise Monkey (MONKY) Airdrop for holders of Floki (FLOKI) and ApeCoin (APE). This Airdrop allows users to earn MONKY coins based on their FLOKI and APE balances. Details and participation requirements were provided by Binance.
Snapshot Dates Revealed
Two separate snapshots will be taken for the distribution of MONKY coins. The snapshot date for APE holders is set for November 29, 2024, at 03:00 (UTC). For FLOKI holders, this date will be December 15, 2024, at 03:00 (UTC). During the snapshots, 0.35 MONKY will be distributed for each FLOKI and 804,828 MONKY for each APE. Users without the minimum balance will not be eligible for the Airdrop.
Binance will consider FLOKI and APE balances across all wallet types. However, balances below 1 FLOKI or 1 APE will be excluded from the Airdrop. Additionally, any pending deposit or withdrawal transactions during the snapshot will not be counted towards the balance. It is emphasized that users must meet minimum requirements to participate in the Airdrop.
Airdrop Participation Conditions and Other Details
Balances of FLOKI and APE across different wallets such as Spot, Margin, and Funding Wallet will be evaluated. However, borrowed or lent FLOKI and APE will not be considered for the Airdrop. Users with net debt will have their MONKY coin balances adjusted according to the amount borrowed. Binance stated that it will handle all technical operations on behalf of users.
Whether MONKY coin will be listed on Binance remains uncertain. Binance noted that its strict listing procedures for new coins or tokens will also apply to MONKY. Users must complete KYC verifications and be located in an eligible region.
Binance will announce further details about the distribution process in the coming days. It was stated that deposits, withdrawals, and trading activities for FLOKI and APE coins will not be affected. Users are advised to check their balances to not miss out on the Airdrop opportunity.
