Cardano Launches Five New Projects in April

InputOutput announced via a social media platform that five projects were launched on the Cardano blockchain in April. According to the research and engineering branch of the blockchain, some used new scripts.

While others worked on distributing new tokens and some released new versions to improve network transactions. InputOutput noted that besides the projects already launched, there are eight more sets to be sent in a few weeks. Cardano publishes a record every week showing updates in its ecosystem. The cryptocurrency company emphasized the following:

The number of token policies increased to 3,875, and the number of native tokens minted increased by 100,000. Plutus scripts increased by 2,656, reaching a total of 42,703. The total number of transactions increased by 1.6 million last month.

According to the latest data, the project has been consistent in developing its network. This could be one of the reasons why its development activity is advancing and leaving others behind. At one point, the development activity metric dropped, indicating that Cardano had slowed down the number of features sent. However, when this article was written, data from the cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment indicated an improvement in the measurement.

Signs of Growth in ADA

The mentioned increase might be proof that this week’s upgrade efforts were effective. However, ADA, Cardano’s token, could not benefit from this progress. At the time of writing, ADA’s price was $0.46. This value represents a slight increase of 1.41% in the last 24 hours. Although ADA avoided a significant rise, similar developments mentioned above could change the price movement for the better.

In such a case, other parts of the Cardano ecosystem could also be positively affected. One aspect that could be affected is the total supply in profit. Of the 38.84 billion tokens in circulation, 18.88 billion have made a profit. If the token’s price sees $0.50 again, this number could reach or exceed 20 billion. However, Cardano’s announcement that it might repeat its 2019 performance means that the situation may not end here. If the projected increase occurs, the token could maintain its position in the top 10.
