Chris Burniske, who works at many popular investment firms, highlighted some overlooked altcoins in his latest market analysis. The evolving competitive environment has sidelined many cryptocurrencies, negatively affecting their prices. Those born as Solana rivals have taken a significant hit in this regard.
Expert’s Crypto Recommendations
Venture capitalist Chris Burniske is known for his keen interest in risk markets, especially crypto. A few hours ago, a new analysis was published with former Goldman executive and current Real Vision founder Raoul Pal. Here, he highlighted the Move ecosystem.
You may recall that it was a language created for the Diem project developed by Facebook, now known as Meta. However, for various reasons, Meta shelved this project while charting a new course focused on metaverse, virtual reality, and Web3, moving away from the financial aspect of crypto.
Of course, those who developed this Move language later emerged with their own blockchain ventures. SUI and Aptos (APT) are the most popular as layer1 networks and are striving to compete with Solana. However, the Solana network is far ahead in terms of ecosystem size. Burniske said:
“At this point, even though it’s very small, I think it’s worth paying attention to the Move ecosystem, meaning things like Movement, Aptos, Sui.
People are not talking about this ecosystem in an interesting way right now because I always like to go where people are not talking too much about something. This is an uncrowded wave that could be very good.
When you look at the birth of Move, Sui, and Aptos, you see that they came out of Meta. This is a big deal. People don’t realize how much time, effort, and money was spent on making something for ordinary people on the Meta side, and it was canceled in the last week before the launch.”
Potential of META Foundation
Chris Burniske points to the strength of Meta at this point. He highlights that most of the foundations were built by an extremely meticulous company, but the project was canceled at the last minute. This could place it on a much more solid ground compared to its alternatives. Or perhaps Chris has invested in altcoins in this area and is striving to make people believe in such a story or perspective.
“With things like ZK log-in or some innovations happening there, we could reach a world where we produce wallets – and these will probably be lower-security wallets, just like we have different security levels for a bank account versus a vault – but we can produce low-security, high-usage wallets from our Gmail or phone number or whatever people choose, and such integrations are also coming.”
