XRP Logo Resembles Twitter Logo
Elon Musk, one of the richest and undoubtedly most controversial figures in the world, took a controversial step today. After acquiring Twitter, Musk has made many changes, and now he has changed the iconic bird logo associated with Twitter to an “X”. This move has naturally caused various reactions in the cryptocurrency sector.
Musk announced in a tweet on July 23 that the logo would change to an “X” starting today, and it happened as expected. However, this move also affected XRP investors and led to an interesting awakening within the XRP community.
While making this move, Musk mentioned that his competitor is the Asia-based application WeChat and expressed his desire for Twitter to be the “WeChat of the West”. The XRP community, on the other hand, made assumptions based solely on the logo.
Prominent figures in the XRP community, such as XRPcryptowolf and Linda Yaccarino, instantly reacted to this change. XRPcryptowolf claimed that the XRP logo looks better and made a reference to the other X logo.
The XRP Community is Excited
Linda Yaccarino shared her excitement for the arrival of the “X” and posted the message “let’s do this”. Many users emphasized under the relevant post that the XRP logo looks better and pointed out that Ripple could sue Elon Musk for copyright infringement if they wanted to. It is evident that Elon Musk’s X logo indeed closely resembles the X logo of XRP. However, filing a lawsuit over this could be challenging for the XRP community, which claims to be decentralized.
Another famous XRP enthusiast, AaronCryptoNoob, stated that with this symbol change, XRP could have a more prominent presence on Twitter. Although it is not entirely clear what the famous figure is claiming, it is believed that he may have implied that the similarity between the X logos will benefit XRP.
The price of XRP has dropped by 5.7% in the last 24 hours, which can be attributed to the decline in BTC. However, XRP investors still appear to be optimistic despite this drop.
