There was a time when news of partnerships with AWS dominated the cryptocurrency market headlines. We’ve seen days when even altcoins that rented servers from Amazon and set up nodes announced AWS partnerships. The same was done for tech giants like Google Cloud and Alibaba. These days, however, the focus is on announcements of integration with AI products from Microsoft and other giants.
Aptos (APT) and Amazon
Firstly, the news announced a short while ago is neither a partnership nor an investment. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google allow crypto companies to be included in various programs. Service providers attract more customers through products and campaigns, while altcoin ventures define this as recognition by technology giants or even partnerships.
Aptos stated in today’s announcement;
“Aptos Assistant, powered by Azure OpenAI Service, is live and ready to answer all questions about the Aptos layer 1 blockchain, its technology, ecosystem, and developers.
Developers working on Aptos are invited to validate their projects on Microsoft Azure through the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, which offers up to $150,000 in Azure cloud credits to eligible ventures.
Aptos Labs supports Microsoft with technology and guides on how to launch an Azure-based validator node in Web3.
Aiming to remove one of the biggest barriers to mass adoption of Web3, Aptos Assistant is a secure and user-friendly assistant based on Azure OpenAI Service, here to help developers build on Aptos regardless of their Web3 experience level.”
What Did Microsoft Say?
What’s important here are the statements made by executives from Aptos and Microsoft. As you will see below, this announcement is a step similar to marketing collaborations done with different altcoins. Aptos Labs Co-Founder and CTO Avery Ching said;
“Aptos Assistant includes a secure and reliable infrastructure layer that comes with iterations and upgrades informed by experiments, tests, and real user feedback, all developed and deployed on Microsoft Azure.”
Daniel An, Microsoft’s Director of Global Business Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Web3, wrote;
“Our collaboration with Aptos Labs is a testament to the synergistic power of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and data. By leveraging Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and specifically the advanced capabilities of OpenAI’s GPT-4, Aptos Labs is not only simplifying the development process for dApp creators but also unlocking new frontiers in data analytics.”
APT Coin’s price experienced a modest rise to $9.43 following the news but then returned to its starting point around the $9.3 region.
