Peirce expresses optimism particularly regarding the approval prospects of pending cryptocurrency ETF applications.

In an interview with Zack Guzman, Peirce noted that if the majority of commissioners at the SEC are supportive, processes could advance more smoothly. She stated that the early implementation of in-kind redemptions and staking opportunities for ETF issuers is probable. This approach is designed to allow investors to achieve greater value, especially as the SEC previously opposed the ETH staking feature this year, preventing issuers from adding this benefit to their applications. The possibility of ETFs offering an annual 5% additional profit through staking could generate significant interest.

Current Stance of the SEC

While previous administrators mandated cash-based creation methods, issuers preferred the in-kind method, which allows investors to receive payments in the underlying currency while cash creation methods permit payments in U.S. dollars. Additionally, while staking products in Ethereum $0.000102 ETFs are expected to provide additional returns, market regulators are opposing such flexible offerings. Reports indicate that Bitwise plans to provide clients with staking services by acquiring Attestant.

Wider Changes in the Crypto Sector

The upcoming SEC administration’s policies towards the crypto market are also influenced by federal policies such as Operation Chokepoint 2.0. This operation is alleged to have a restrictive effect on banks providing services to crypto and Web3-based companies. Leaders in the crypto industry are calling for a review of this operation, while the SEC is expected to reassess its own regulations.

In conclusion, it is assessed that significant changes may occur in the cryptocurrency market under the new SEC administration, which could positively reflect on the sector. Investors and market participants are closely monitoring these developments.
