What is Nexus (NXS)?
Nexus is a powerful DApp and contract platform that serves as a seven-layer software stack powering a register-based transaction digital machine and creating value in various sectors. Development includes encrypted communication, digital identifiers, supply chain, asset management, cryptography, and tokens.
Nexus uses quantum-resistant signature schemes (FALCON) and a technology called ‘Signature Chains’ for automated key management functions. This technology eliminates key management issues (wallet.dat) by allowing users to access their accounts with a username, password, and PIN code.
Additional technology developed by Nexus includes a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) for governance, SafeNet – a tamper-resistant Operating System, sharding, a multi-dimensional chaining structure with low-latency transaction finality, and an interconnected decentralized satellite and network.
According to the platform’s statements, the creation of NXS is quite different from launching tokens through zero-cost ICOs. Instead, the NXS creation process involves mining (similar to BTC) or staking, giving a fundamental value to the currency supported by the physical resources required to create each NXS cryptocurrency.
Additionally, it is stated that there are 3 ways to obtain NXS:
