Tellor was launched in 2019 by a US-based team to address the oracle problem in the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. It is characterized as a decentralized, secure oracle for decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized applications (DApps) based on Ethereum.
What is Tellor (TRB)?
Tellor allows DeFi DApps to receive high-value data for smart contracts. The stability and reliability of the data feed are ensured by stakeholder miners participating in the proof of work (PoW) consensus.
The team behind Tellor also established Daxia, a derivative protocol on Ethereum. Daxia created tokens representing the long or short positions of a trading pair, which required an oracle to execute these smart contracts. Consequently, the team created Tellor, a decentralized, purpose-built oracle solution.
On the other hand, the TRB utility token is an Ethereum-based token that powers the Tellor system. Tellor operates by allowing users to send queries to the oracle network, where TRB tokens are used as an incentive for miners to select a specific query.
Then, other users requesting the same data can pay more money to further incentivize miners. Approximately every 10 minutes, Tellor selects the best-funded query and provides a challenge for the miners who choose to solve it.
Miners can then submit their PoW solutions and off-chain data points within the oracle contract. The oracle then verifies the input and records it on the chain. Once this occurs, miners are finally rewarded for their mining efforts. Anyone with TRB tokens can challenge the validity of a mined value, but this must be done within a 24-hour window by paying a dispute fee.
Where to Buy TRB Coin?
TRB Coin can be quickly and safely purchased via Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform by trading volume.
To buy TRB Coin, you must first register with Binance and then send fiat currency. After sending a fiat currency like dollars, purchasing TRB Coin can be done by acquiring BUSD, Bitcoin (BTC), or Tether (USDT) and then making a purchase in the TRB trading pair.
In addition, on Binance, users can place a buy order not only at market price but also at a lower price. For this, simply use the Limit tab and enter the amount and price you want to buy.
