Viral Telegram click game Notcoin collaborates with The Open Network (TON) NFT project Lost Dogs to launch an innovative, story-driven game called Lost Dogs. This new game significantly differs from traditional tap-to-earn games that attract millions of players on Telegram.
A Story Shaped by Community Participation
In Lost Dogs, players will vote daily on decisions that guide the game’s story over six weeks. The story progresses based on community choices, with characters in the Lost Dogs NFT collection gaining special powers and achieving celebrity status. According to the game’s “chief officer” Mad Tail, this game offers a world full of discoveries, joy, pain, intriguing moments, and mysteries.
This development marks a departure from the tap-to-earn format dominated by Telegram games where players earn cryptocurrencies by constantly tapping the screen. Games like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat have attracted millions of players and contributed to Telegram’s user base, which reached 950 million during the crypto-based gaming boom. Hamster Kombat alone attracted 300 million players, nearly a third of Telegram’s active users.
A Game World Filled with Interaction and Rewards
Despite this change in game mechanics, the core element of earning rewards remains intact in Lost Dogs. Players can earn Notcoin and the new in-game token WOOF by interacting with the game’s teams, inviting new players, and developing strategies.
According to Open Builders and Notcoin’s Founder Sasha Plotvinov, Lost Dogs is not just a game; it’s a gamified experience where daily decisions shape a story in a magical dog world. The better the decisions, the more beneficial they will be for the player’s pack and rewards.
A Harbinger of a New Beginning
The launch of Lost Dogs followed a teaser released by Notcoin a month ago, hinting at a new beginning with illustrations from the Lost Dogs NFT project. Fans speculated on the form this collaboration would take, and the new game answered these questions with its unique narrative-driven approach. Plotvinov previously mentioned ambitions to make the project the “Netflix of social, viral games,” and this collaboration with Lost Dogs is seen as a step in that direction.
The founder of Getgems, the TON NFT trading platform where Lost Dogs was first launched, expressed excitement about the project’s growth. Known by the pseudonym Vanya, the founder noted that this is just the beginning and that Notcoin will introduce more games, heralding a new era of interactive Blockchain experiences.
