The year 2024 is hosting significant developments for Mina Coin. The most notable event was the launch of Mina’s zkApp layer in June, making it the first blockchain to go live with a Turing-complete zero-knowledge smart contract layer. Since June, efforts have continued to initiate new applications on the network for the ecosystem’s construction. Many objectives are expected to be realized soon this year.
Mina Coin’s 2025 Objectives
Focusing on new use cases, Mina Coin will start launching token bridges in the first quarter of this year. We will see the implementation of essential capabilities for blockchain, such as mobile support and various DEXs. Initiatives like zkVot or Punkpoll for private voting, ownership proofs with Mirae, and specialized financial products such as zkUSD are anticipated.
The Private Identity Information API will enable storing zero-knowledge proofs derived from private identity information in a user’s wallet, unlocking an ecosystem of combinable identities primarily for selective disclosure applications in Mina’s zkApps. Additionally, Protokit will facilitate creating fast, decentralized, verifiable applications on Mina.
Mobile Proving will enable zero-knowledge proof functionality on iOS and Android devices. The Token Launchpad Platform will facilitate quick and easy token launches on the network, with the Ethereum 
$2,338 bridge nearing completion. A Mina full node running in the browser for consensus and block production is expected to be tested by March, highlighting Mina’s decentralization aspect.
