Bitcoin price surpassed $65,000 for the first time in about a month today (currently trading at $64,700), while meme coins continued to show a positive outlook. Although the increases weakened compared to yesterday, one meme coin stood out among all the high-volume meme coins. PEPE, which made headlines last month, seems to have more to say about its rise. So, what is happening in the meme coin market in general?
PEPE Coin and WIF Rising
As of June 2024, PEPE, which had a series of ATHs but then erased all its gains, seems to have made a mark today. While gains in meme coins generally fell to single digits, PEPE’s outlook did not seem to slow down.
PEPE price found buyers at $0,00001245 after a 1.44% increase in the last hour. More importantly, the area where it stood out from its competitors was in the 24-hour view. PEPE price rose by 15.87% in the last 24 hours, providing a market-leading gain.
In the 7-day view, PEPE’s gains exceeded 37%. On the other hand, PEPE’s market cap surpassed $5 billion again, while its trading volume settled above $2.333 billion after a massive growth, reflecting an incredible rise.
Meanwhile, eyes were on WIF. WIF price had returned above $2 yesterday and continued to stay above the mentioned price today. The 24-hour increase for WIF was 5.95%, with the price at $2.17. WIF’s market cap was $2.165 billion, while its trading volume was $773 million.
DOGE and SHIB Prices
The undisputed leader and pioneer of meme coins in terms of volume, DOGE, continued to please its investors with upward movements. DOGE price increased by 2.53% today after a 6.88% rise yesterday, trading at $0.1257 at the time of writing. DOGE’s market cap exceeded $18 billion, while its trading volume was $1 billion.
DOGE’s biggest rival in terms of volume, SHIB, saw a 4.28% increase in the last 24 hours. After the rise, the price was at $0.00001942. With the continued burns on the SHIB side, it is thought that the price could rise further, and expectations are growing that this process could accelerate with the impact of Shibarium.
