The Terra Classic community has outright rejected the proposal to form the Terra Allies team, known as “Six Samurai”, composed of six senior full-stack engineers.
LUNC Current Status
While the community members accepted the innovative L1 and L2 developments shared in the $116,000 three-month spending proposal, most cast a “No with Veto” vote. This signifies that the community did not agree to provide funding for this team and its work on LUNC.
The “Terra Allies ‘Six Samurai’ Senior Engineering Team (L1/L2 Q3 Bid & Proposal)” proposal number 11600 received 57% “No with Veto” and 36% “No” votes. The proposal only garnered a 7% “Yes” vote. The proposal utterly failed to secure support from validators and other developers. Popular validators like Happy Catty Crypto, Classy’s Sphere, Lunanauts, JESUSisLORD, StakeBin, and others rejected the proposal.
The community also presented valid reasons for rejecting the Six Samurai team, led by developer Bilbo Baggins and Solid Snake. These reasons included a lack of transparency about the developers and their skills, trust in the current Joint L1 Task Force developer team, and suspicions about bad actors within the team. The most critical reason was cited as the lack of funding in the community pool to approve all existing proposals.
Roadmap for Reviving Terra Classic
The roadmap includes crucial milestones like transitioning from Columbus-5 to Columbus-6, which reduces synchronization time for archive nodes and sets the network in order. Samurai Six also planned to focus on updating Cosmos SDK v0.46.x to Cosmos SDK v0.47.x.
Additionally, the roadmaps include listing Terra Classic in Keplr’s web interface, a web tool for analytic visualizations, and work on Mintscan, a Cosmos block explorer catering to crypto exchanges and customers, and USTC repeg.
In response, Samurai Six said, “LUNC has unlimited growth potential, and we want to help realize this by leveraging our skills to add value to the blockchain and all investors for the true revival of the ecosystem. We will also be in coordination and collaboration with other teams that have won development rights on LUNC.”
The team expressed readiness to put forth the necessary efforts to revive the Terra Classic ecosystem. They also emphasized their willingness to collaborate and coordinate with other teams that have secured development rights on LUNC.
