On the last day of the year, the Super Cup was the main topic in Turkey’s agenda, and the final match was canceled following debates that started a few hours earlier. While the Bitcoin price is trying to recover from its daily low, it seems that the FB Token has fallen victim to early profit-taking. So, what are the expectations for FB and GAL Tokens?
Turkey Super Cup Final
Saudi Arabia‘s capital Riyadh was set to host the Turkcell Super Cup match, but multiple issues sparked heated debates. Claims that banners, t-shirts featuring Atatürk, and the national anthem would not be allowed at the final match between Turkey’s two major teams, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, dropped like a bomb on the agenda. Fans rightfully protested this decision all day on social media, urging their teams not to participate in the match.
After discussions with Saudi authorities failed to lift the ban on Atatürk, the teams did not leave their hotel rooms. Riyadh officials had warned days before that political slogans and posters would not be allowed.
However, categorizing Turkey’s founder Atatürk in this manner infuriated both the teams and their supporters.
FB and GAL Token Reviews
The FB Token recovered from a low of $0.91 on July 10 and climbed back to $1.2 after a prolonged decline. However, despite impressive gains in BTC and altcoins, the expected rise was not observed.
Both the weakness in volume and the lack of presence on global exchanges have caused the FB Token price to perform poorly almost since the day it was listed.
Following the cancellation of the final match, the Galatasaray Fan Token price also experienced a loss of about 5%, similar to the FB Token. Here too, we see a price that has been hovering around the $1.75 range for a long time. Although it rose above $2.2 at the beginning of December, the Galatasaray Fan Token returned to its previous narrow volatility range.
Since September 21, 2023, fan tokens have been unable to maintain a price above $1.8 and are experiencing a fate similar to their rivals. Initially sparking great excitement, team tokens have become victims of low volume in the challenging bear market environment and are still struggling to attract new investors.
