Arbitrum is a Layer 2 scaling solution project for Ethereum that supports Ethereum applications. It uses optimistic aggregation technology to group groups of transactions to save on gas fees. ARB is the local governance token.
What is Arbitrum (ARB)?
Arbitrum serves as a Layer 2 solution designed to augment Ethereum smart contracts’ capabilities. By enhancing the speed, scalability, and privacy of Ethereum smart contracts, Arbitrum aims to address the network’s shortcomings.
The platform allows developers to seamlessly run unmodified Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) contracts and Ethereum transactions on a second layer, all while maintaining Ethereum’s exceptional Layer 1 security.
Arbitrum employs transaction rollups to record and execute transaction batches on a cost-effective, scalable Layer 2 sidechain. By leveraging Ethereum for accuracy assurance, Arbitrum alleviates the network’s computational and storage burdens, paving the way for powerful Layer 2-based DApps.
Offchain Labs, a New York-based development firm, is constructing Arbitrum and its entire suite of scaling solutions. The startup is led by co-founders Ed Felten, Steven Goldfeder, and Harry Kalodner, all of whom boast extensive blockchain expertise.
In August 2022, Arbitrum unveiled Nova, a new chain utilizing AnyTrust technology to further scale the Ethereum blockchain. This innovation differs from the original Arbitrum One chain, which relied on Offchain Labs’ Rollup technology.
ARB Token Outlook
Arbitrum has recently garnered attention due to its airdrop and Binance listing, piquing investor interest. While some investors harbor bullish expectations for the ARB token, caution is advised amid uncertain market conditions.
Acquiring ARB Tokens
ARB tokens can be swiftly and securely procured through Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform by trading volume. Binance is set to list ARB at 20:00 TSI.
To purchase ARB tokens, one must first register with Binance and transfer fiat currency. Following the transfer of a fiat currency such as Turkish Lira or US dollars, ARB tokens can be purchased using the Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT) trading pairs.
On Binance, users can place purchase orders not only at market value but also at lower prices, enabling them to buy at their desired price point. Simply use the Limit tab, input the desired purchase amount and price, and proceed with the transaction.
