“The SEC is holding meetings today with exchanges (Nasdaq, CBOE, and NYSE) to conclude comments on the 19B-4s submitted by BTC Spot ETF issuers.”
This development indicates that the SEC may make a positive turnaround on ETFs within a few days, as expected, and for now, invalidates the prediction by Matrixport experts. BTC climbed above $43,000 from the $42,500 level following the announcement.
Bloomberg ETF experts, who say that the SEC will give ETF approval between January 8-10, are giving this a 90 percent chance, and last month the SEC managed to shape the ETF filings with over 30 meetings.
