Bitcoin (BTC) price is on the verge of reaching $53,000 at the time of writing and has risen to a daily peak of $52,985. Investor optimism is being fueled by significant developments anticipated for the year 2024. The price has increased by more than $700 in a 15-minute candle and could exceed $53,000 today.
Why Is Bitcoin (BTC) Rising?
The leading cryptocurrency reached its 2024 peak of $52,985 at the time of writing. Although we have seen some selling, it has not yet given up the significant gain in the 15-minute candle. Increasing buyer demand at lower levels was indicating that new peaks were approaching. Now, with approximately 45 minutes until the US markets open, the price is pushing the peak higher.
If Bitcoin (BTC) can close above $52,800, we might see the rally continue up to $58,000. The medium-term target is reaching a significant peak of up to $65,000 around the halving (before/after). Even if BTC consolidates at this level with a weekly close, double-digit rises in altcoins could be seen.
