Cryptocurrency exchange Binance continues to make moves in the altcoin market. The exchange announced today a significant development for two altcoins. Accordingly, Binance has launched perpetual contracts for NEAR and LTC in futures trading. Let’s look at the details.
Binance’s Two Altcoin Moves
In the announcement made by cryptocurrency exchange Binance, it was revealed that perpetual contracts for NEARUSDC and LTCUSDC will be introduced to the market. The statement includes the following:
“Binance will launch the LTCUSDC Perpetual Contract with up to 75x leverage at 10:00 Turkey time on April 11, and the NEARUSDC Perpetual Contract with up to 50x leverage at 10:15 Turkey time on the same date, to expand the list of trading options available on Binance futures and to enhance the trading experience for our users.”
Binance’s move can be seen as a reflection of the recent price volatility in the two altcoins. LTC has achieved almost a 45% increase in the last two weeks. As of writing this article, LTC is trading at $101. Near, on the other hand, has seen its price rise by nearly 100% in the last month. The price, which went above $9, is trading at $7.57 as of writing.
