Treasure (MAGIC) is bringing its decentralized gaming console to Elastic Chain. The community voted overwhelmingly, with 99.5% in favor of launching Treasure Layer 2 as part of the ZKsync ecosystem. This decision indicates that Treasure will implement a Layer 2 solution using the ZK Stack, with a promise of a seamless transition process for the community and developers.
New Test Network “Topaz” Launches Soon
Treasure plans to launch a new test network named “Topaz” shortly. This test network will allow game developers and players to start exploring and building in the new environment. The mainnet is expected to be operational within 1.5 to 2 months, during which Treasure’s core products will be aligned with the ZK Stack. The Treasure App, Market, Magicswap, and the universal account system Treasure Connect will be updated accordingly.
In addition, new protocols and developer tools will be integrated into the Treasure ecosystem. Partner protocols and tools like EigenDA, thirdweb, Goldsky, and LayerZero will be included, providing developers with a broader workspace and further strengthening the ecosystem.
Smooth Transition Process for Games
Treasure will work closely with over ten existing and undisclosed game projects to facilitate their transition process. A special support service called “whiteglove” will be offered to developers through a collaboration with Matter Labs. This support ensures a smooth migration of game projects to the new infrastructure, allowing users to continue their experiences without any disruptions.
In the coming days, community and developer meetings will be organized. These meetings will provide details on the transition process and Treasure’s future goals. Additionally, events featuring various guests will address the expansion of the ecosystem and new opportunities.
Lastly, a token exchange between Treasure and the ZKsync Foundation will occur soon in accordance with the TIP-44 proposal approved by the DAO. This step will further reinforce the integration of the Treasure ecosystem with ZKsync and support future growth plans.
