The world’s largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC) $106,445, reached an all-time high of $106,488, setting a new record. Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive of MicroStrategy, reacted to this development with a tweet saying, “We will see you on the Moon.”
Bitcoin Sets a New Record, Saylor Supports
According to CoinMarketCap data, Bitcoin rose by 3.58% within 24 hours, reaching $106,488. However, after this surge, the leading cryptocurrency is currently trading at $104,838.
Saylor’s response to the rapid increase referenced the United States’ fame in space exploration, stating, “We will see you on the Moon” with Bitcoin. The crypto community enthusiastically welcomed this remark, responding with messages such as, “Thank you for taking us along.”
MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin strategy is closely tied to these price movements. The total value of the BTC held by the company has reached $41.5 billion. Additionally, MicroStrategy’s stock has gained 4.2% in value due to this positive price trend, trading at $408.67 during pre-market sessions.
The Race for 450 BTC Daily
On another note, last Friday, Saylor revealed the target for all Bitcoin investors in a tweet, stating, “Every day, miners produce 450 BTC. This amounts to about $45 million.” With this information, Saylor highlighted Bitcoin’s limited supply. The amount produced from Bitcoin mining is presented as a significant target for global investors due to high demand and limited supply.
Saylor also shared a tweet on Sunday outlining MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin acquisition schedule, fueling speculation about potential new purchases by asking, “Is there a missing green dot on SaylorTracker?”
