James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, predicts a significant price surge for Bitcoin 
$81,236 in the coming years. He estimates that Bitcoin could reach $250,000, reflecting a 166% increase from its current level. This projection suggests that Bitcoin’s market cap may reach 25% of that of gold.
Expectations for $150,000 by 2025
Butterfill does not anticipate Bitcoin hitting $250,000 within this year. However, he forecasts that by 2025, Bitcoin might drop to around $80,000 before climbing back up to $150,000. This prediction indicates a greater potential upside than its current valuation.
According to Butterfill, the increase in Bitcoin’s value could be linked to economic conditions and public confidence in technology.
Impact of Policy and Regulations
Butterfill pointed out that uncertainties regarding cryptocurrency policies proposed by Trump could lead to significant market corrections. He emphasized that adverse market effects could arise if favorable policies for Bitcoin are not implemented during Trump’s presidency. Furthermore, he highlighted that Bitcoin’s recent over 60% value increase this year could be attributed to the regulatory environment in the U.S.
