Evernorth has revealed that established banks are already utilizing public blockchains to issue regulated digital products. The company highlighted Société Générale’s digital asset arm, SG FORGE, as a key example, pointing to their newly launched euro-backed stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible (EURCV). According to the information provided, this asset has been activated across four blockchain networks: XRP Ledger, Ethereum, Stellar, and Solana.

Société Générale, a leading French banking group, operates SG FORGE as its dedicated unit for developing blockchain-based financial products aimed at institutional clients. Evernorth noted that EURCV is among the largest euro-denominated stablecoins in circulation, though dollar-based stablecoins remain dominant in terms of overall market share.
Evernorth insisted that real banks have already been leveraging XRP through the issuance of regulated stablecoins, underscoring this development as a quiet yet substantial transformation on the institutional front.
The company further emphasized that EURCV was structured according to European financial regulations and serves as a fully collateralized digital euro instrument. This arrangement, it argued, demonstrates that regulated institutions can now use public blockchains for settlement processes.
MiCA framework gains attention
Evernorth linked this broad deployment to the European Union’s regulatory framework known as the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA). According to the company, MiCA brings operational clarity to the issuance and management of digital asset products, creating a more standardized foundation for licensing and public disclosure obligations for stablecoin issuers.
