Hyperscale Data, Inc., a US-based AI data center operator listed on the New York Stock Exchange, reported a significant increase in its Bitcoin reserves, bringing total holdings beyond 1,000 BTC for the first time.
Bitcoin reserves grow to new highs
As of Sunday, Hyperscale Data disclosed a Bitcoin treasury balance of 1,087.4527 BTC, equivalent to $72.4 million at current market prices. The expansion in digital assets was attributed partly to recent activity by Ault Capital Group (ACG), a wholly owned subsidiary, which acquired approximately 51.5 BTC through open-market purchases during the week ending July 19.
The company’s Bitcoin assets are distributed between its subsidiaries, Ault Capital Group and Sentinum, Inc. This diversified approach underpins Hyperscale’s rapid pace of accumulation, which stands out when compared to its earlier position. At the end of March 2026, the company held just 627.9 BTC; now, less than four months later, it has added about 460 BTC, nearly doubling its Bitcoin treasury in that period.
Hyperscale Data’s executive chairman, Milton “Todd” Ault III, highlighted the company’s strong Bitcoin position, emphasizing that the market capitalization currently trails the value of its Bitcoin holdings alone.
“We now hold more than $70 million in Bitcoin,” Ault asserted, noting that the market is not accounting for Hyperscale’s cash, its Michigan data center, or the rest of its operating businesses. He expressed plans for the company to continue executing its strategy while spotlighting the growing disparity between Hyperscale Data’s market value and its underlying assets.
Shares of GPUS, Hyperscale Data’s stock ticker, are presently trading near $0.13 per share. The company’s self-stated target is to build a $100 million digital asset treasury and to achieve parity between its Bitcoin holdings and its market capitalization. With a market cap around $63 million, its current Bitcoin balance already exceeds the firm’s own valuation, excluding additional assets and cash reserves.
| Metric | March 2026 | July 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin holdings (BTC) | 627.9 | 1,087.45 |
| Value of holdings | ~$40 million | $72.4 million |
| Market capitalization | Not stated | ~$63 million |
Corporate adoption echoes a leading example
Hyperscale Data’s aggressive Bitcoin strategy closely mirrors that of companies like Strategy Inc. (MSTR), which shifted its business model under Michael Saylor from enterprise software to amassing large Bitcoin reserves.
This high-profile approach allows investors to gain indirect exposure to Bitcoin by holding shares in these corporations. While the basic playbook has attracted several firms, Hyperscale Data stands out as a rare example where the company’s Bitcoin value outpaces its total market capitalization — a scenario typically encountered in deeply discounted treasury-focused plays.
Hyperscale Data aims to continue advancing toward its $100 million Bitcoin treasury goal as it manages operating businesses and assets beyond its digital holdings.
Mini dictionary: Strategy Inc. (MSTR) is a US-based publicly traded company best known for its large-scale corporate Bitcoin investments, led by Michael Saylor, having pioneered the model of holding substantial Bitcoin reserves on company balance sheets.
