The speculation began when an X user openly wondered if Charlie Lee was, in fact, hiding behind the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama. In response, Mazrael, a veteran member of the Shiba Inu community and advisor on the Shiba Eternity game, commented, “Could be he chatted with Litecoin that one time.” This remark pointed not to identity overlap, but to a possible online interaction between Kusama and the Litecoin project.
Such interactions are not unusual in the crypto space, where pseudonymity is common and cross-community engagement often takes place on social media. In November 2024, Kusama replied directly to Litecoin on X, following a light-hearted post in which Litecoin described itself as a meme-style coin with a stick figure and an “L” for a head. Kusama responded by clarifying, “he was not looking to get into beef with Litecoin,” dispelling any suggestion of rivalry.
