Bitcoin is currently hovering near key short-term support levels, with traders closely monitoring the possibility of a dip ahead of the next upward move. A rebound from around $76,000 could send the price toward $79,500 and set up an attempt at $82,700 if momentum persists.

Key Resistance and Pullback Levels in Focus

The recent surge in Bitcoin’s price has brought it back to a significant resistance zone between $80,000 and $83,000. Crypto trader Zoran Kole stated that sellers are likely to defend this area during initial tests, with the potential for a pullback toward the $73,000 region before Bitcoin rallies further.

On the daily BTC/USDT chart, Bitcoin is seen trading within the $77,000 to $60,000 range. The asset has reclaimed a previous range high near $73,341. However, the current rally is now facing the resistance zone starting from $79,424 and stretching into the $80,000–$83,000 band.

Kole believes that the upper resistance will be difficult to breach at first, predicting Bitcoin may briefly push into this zone before reversing toward $73,000. This level aligns closely with the former range high, making it an important pivot area. If the price holds at $73,000, previous resistance could become new support, preserving the foundation for further recovery.

Rather than an immediate breakout, the bullish outlook depends on Bitcoin defending support after a retracement. If buyers continue to hold the $73,000 region, a renewed move toward $80,000 remains possible. A clean break above the $80,000–$83,000 resistance would open the path toward the CME gap near $84,270.

However, losing the $73,000 level could lead to more pronounced downside, with additional reference levels cited near $67,855 and $62,345. Kole suggests Bitcoin could remain rangebound between $70,000 and $80,000 in the coming weeks, with periods of volatility rather than a clear directional move.

Support/Resistance ZonePrice Level
Immediate support$73,000
Main resistance$80,000–$83,000
Upside target (CME gap)$84,270
Key lower support$67,855 / $62,345

Short-Term Outlook: Potential Dip Before Further Gains

Crypto trader Michaël van de Poppe, known for his market analysis, outlined a short-term scenario where Bitcoin may experience a modest pullback before advancing toward the low $80,000s. His chart shows the asset currently trading near $77,183 after a rebound from $76,200 support.

The price is positioned just below resistance at $79,516. According to van de Poppe, a brief dip—potentially on Sunday evening—could test support between $76,400 and $76,900, hovering around the $76,934 level. A solid hold in this region could see Bitcoin reclaim recent intraday highs and attempt to break through the $79,500 resistance barrier.

Van de Poppe identified $76,200 and $75,779 as main short-term support areas. If Bitcoin fails to maintain these levels, the likelihood of a deeper correction increases, with the $74,000 region, marked by support at $74,251 and $73,998, serving as the next key watch point if further downside develops.

For now, the outlook remains conditional. A shallow dip followed by a move above $79,500 keeps the $82,700 upside target in play. Sustained weakness below the $75,800–$76,200 support range, however, would shift the focus to whether buyers can defend the $74,000 area before any renewed attempt at higher levels.

Van de Poppe indicates that Bitcoin could dip to immediate support before resuming its upward trend, with the $82,700 target remaining in focus if bullish momentum returns.

Mini dictionary: CME gap – The CME gap refers to a price difference on Bitcoin futures contracts at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) that can occur when the market closes for the weekend and reopens at a different price. Traders often watch these gaps as potential targets for future price action, since Bitcoin has frequently “filled” such gaps in the past by retracing to those levels.
