“None of these measures are perfect, but they all tell a similar story: inflation is running above our 2 percent target,” Warsh stated, according to CNBC.

Warsh further explained that short-term interest rates continue to serve as the central bank’s main tool for meeting its dual objectives of price stability and maximum employment.
