Uniswap maintained its leadership in decentralized exchange (DEX) activity, reporting a 30-day trading volume of $70.6 billion and lifting UNI prices near $6.40. The increase in volume comes as overall activity in the broader crypto market remained largely stable, despite fluctuations in major assets like Bitcoin.

Uniswap hits new trading milestones

Uniswap’s reported $70.6 billion in 30-day trading volume surpassed the combined activity of PancakeSwap, BisonFi, and Meteora, which together processed $44.6 billion during the same period. PancakeSwap alone registered $29.8 billion, BisonFi $8.9 billion, and Meteora roughly $5.9 billion. Raydium’s volume reached $5.9 billion.

This latest figure for Uniswap represented a 38% rise over its monthly average of $51.1 billion recorded from January to July. According to Crypto Briefing, the single largest source of activity was Robinhood Chain, which accounted for approximately $26 billion in Uniswap’s volume, while Ethereum contributed about $23 billion. The remaining share came from networks such as Base, BSC, and Arbitrum.

Uniswap’s cumulative DEX volume since its 2018 launch stands close to $3.7 trillion, with total fees collected reaching $5.1 billion in early August. During a week in late August, the protocol recorded 28.9 million swaps, further signaling robust user engagement. Recent USDC trading alone outpaced the combined stablecoin volume of other major decentralized exchanges.

Uniswap has processed more than $70 billion in volume in the past month, surpassing the next three DEXs combined. Robinhood Chain supplied the largest share with about $26 billion, highlighting shifting network dynamics in the market.

Renewed attention to Uniswap’s fee switch tokenomics coincided with the price movement. A UNI token burn on September 4 exceeded $1 million, driven largely by Robinhood Chain activity. Wallet-tracking analyses indicate some holders doubled their UNI positions, but do not directly link these actions to recent price rises.

Immediate resistance for UNI sits between $6.45 and $6.50, marked by the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement and the seven-day moving average. If prices manage to close above this range, analysts suggest further recovery could follow. Conversely, a close below $6.10 may shift focus to support levels near $5.82, coinciding with a 38.2% retracement marker and reflecting technical patterns such as rounding-bottom breakouts.

StablePair Hook debuts with new stablecoin fee logic

Uniswap Labs introduced StablePair Hook on September 10 for v4 with USDC/USDG and USDC/USDT pools on Ethereum. The upgrade features a dynamic fee model that increases fees as stablecoin prices move away from a reference rate. In tight bands, a fixed bid-ask spread is offered, but as prices drift, the system implements Dutch auctions for swaps that correct market imbalances, a process aimed at distributing more earnings to liquidity providers while minimizing arbitrage opportunities.

Stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps on Uniswap hit $43.4 billion in the second quarter, topping the next three onchain venues combined. With StablePair Hook, governance can adjust fee logic and pool parameters without requiring liquidity provider migration. The feature joins other v4 hooks such as DualPool, Permissioned Pools, and LitePSM, expanding options for pool creation and liquidity provisioning.

StablePair Hook’s debut marks a significant step in adaptive market-making, tying fees to real-time price fluctuations rather than a fixed model and giving governance the ability to steer future updates.

In parallel to these developments, the rise of tokenized real-world assets is reshaping market access. As part of the shift to Web3, institutional and retail investors are deploying platforms like 1stepSwap to directly manage shares of leading U.S. companies, as well as gold and silver, from their crypto wallets. By tokenizing assets and automatically sourcing the best available market prices within seconds, these tools are removing traditional intermediaries and increasing autonomy for market participants.

The Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, scheduled for September 16, looms as the next major macroeconomic event that could influence risk sentiment and UNI’s price action. Market watchers indicate that a Uniswap daily close above $6.50 would bolster the case for a continued rebound, while a move under $6.10 puts lower support levels into focus.
