US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a significant turnaround last week, posting $462.7 million in net outflows across four trading sessions. This reversal came after three consecutive weeks of net inflows, marking the steepest withdrawal period for these funds since July.

Bitcoin ETFs face four-day outflow streak

Farside Investors reported that withdrawals from spot Bitcoin ETFs continued in every session from Tuesday through Friday. The week began on the back of the strongest three-week influx in 2026, but the momentum quickly faded as the funds recorded $166.8 million in withdrawals during just the first two trading days of the shortened holiday week.

The most substantial daily outflow occurred on Thursday, when investors pulled $282.7 million from US spot Bitcoin ETFs, marking the largest single-day withdrawal since July, according to data from SoSoValue. Outflows eased to $13.2 million on Friday, still extending the losing streak to four consecutive days.

Over four trading days, US spot Bitcoin ETFs registered a net outflow of $462.7 million, ending a period of strong positive sentiment that had defined the previous three weeks.

Among individual funds, ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF posted the largest weekly net outflows at $234.2 million. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF followed with $129.1 million in withdrawals, while BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund saw weekly outflows of $52.5 million and $50.7 million, respectively.

Despite last week’s reversal, spot Bitcoin ETFs remained in net positive territory for September. By Friday, these funds had accumulated approximately $307.3 million in net inflows for the month.

Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF$129.1 million
BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF$52.5 million
Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund$50.7 million

Ether ETFs reverse trend with inflows

While Bitcoin funds registered consistent outflows, US spot Ether ETFs experienced nearly the opposite. Ether-focused ETFs drew in $196.9 million in net inflows across the same four-day period, according to Farside Investors.

Flows into Ether ETFs fluctuated earlier in the week, with $24.3 million in outflows on Tuesday, $34.7 million in inflows on Wednesday, and another $29.9 million in outflows on Thursday. However, Friday saw the week turn positive, as net inflows reached $216.4 million on a single day.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF led Friday’s activity, attracting $148.8 million in inflows. The 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF followed, adding $29.1 million that day.

With these developments, US spot Ether ETFs managed to overcome early-week volatility and end the week with strong inflows, a marked contrast to the recent trend in Bitcoin ETFs.
