Arbitrum’s native token, ARB, is retesting a previously broken trendline after a strong recovery, signaling renewed bullish momentum. The technical setup receives further support from the current alignment of the exponential moving averages (EMAs), although overbought indicators are pointing to a possible short-term consolidation.
Retest of the Broken Trend
After rallying into a key resistance zone, ARB has reversed and is now testing the broken trendline, a crucial level for determining the asset’s next move. Crypto analyst Bitcoin Merakilisi highlighted that holding above this trendline will be critical for maintaining the recovery pace.
He noted a successful weekly close above this technical marker could strengthen ARB’s setup and potentially open the way toward the next resistance level. If the retest holds, he expects ARB could reach $0.55. However, he warned that the coin’s short-term direction will continue to depend on wider cryptocurrency market dynamics.
Merakilisi also referenced the possibility of US President Donald Trump making announcements that could impact volatility across digital asset markets.
Technical Analysis and Market Structure
TradingView data indicates that ARB remains in a bullish structure following the consolidation observed in August. The token recently moved toward $0.226 before retreating to $0.213 but still trades above all major EMAs.
The 20 EMA and 50 EMA currently stand at $0.165 and $0.132, while the 100 EMA and 200 EMA are positioned at $0.116 and $0.126. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 70.35, signaling overbought conditions and increasing the likelihood of a brief pullback or sideways movement.
Fresh data from Coinglass shows ARB derivatives trading volume rose by 17.31% to approximately $806.19 million. Open interest increased by 2.09% to $289.96 million, reflecting a prudent increase in trader participation rather than an aggressive buildup in leveraged positions.
The slow rise in open interest relative to surging derivatives volume suggests market participants are opting for caution and measured exposure, even as liquidity and activity around ARB accelerate.
This increase in derivatives activity, combined with high liquidity, underpins the current technical structure while keeping short-term risks in focus.
RWA Expansion on Arbitrum Network
Beyond price action, activity surrounding real-world assets (RWAs) is gaining momentum within the Arbitrum ecosystem. According to data shared by the network, Arbitrum One’s RWA market capitalization expanded by more than $74 million over the last seven days—the largest weekly increase recorded among blockchain networks.
This trend underscores the growing importance of tokenized RWAs within Arbitrum’s infrastructure. Rising RWA adoption can boost network utility and attract new users, but market participants are advised to consider such growth in the context of broader blockchain adoption trends rather than viewing it as a direct price driver for ARB.
With technical indicators such as the overbought RSI and the EMA cluster still in positive alignment, traders are closely monitoring key levels including $0.226 and the critical trendline for possible breakout or consolidation scenarios. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, jumping between different apps for charts, news, and portfolio tracking is costing investors money. Smart traders are now utilizing privacy-first tools like CryptoAppsy to consolidate everything. Without even the hassle of creating an account, you get real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and critical macro data all on one screen.
The ability of ARB to maintain its position above the retested trendline may prove decisive for confirming the analyst’s bullish perspective, with a potential move toward $0.55 if positive technical momentum persists.
Should market sentiment weaken, however, an overbought condition as reflected by the RSI could trigger a short-term correction or prolonged consolidation phase.
