Evernorth is set to enter the Nasdaq marketplace under the ticker XRPN following its recent business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The digital asset treasury company, which is focused on the XRP ecosystem, will begin trading as a public entity on Monday, October 12.
Evernorth’s vision and operations
Evernorth, led by CEO Asheesh Birla, specializes in digital asset treasury services and is deeply integrated with XRP. Currently, Evernorth holds around 473 million XRP tokens as part of its core holdings. The company has raised over $1 billion through its recent merger and related private investments, positioning itself as a publicly traded vehicle that enables institutional investors to access the XRP ecosystem in a regulated manner.
Asheesh Birla explained that Evernorth’s mission transcends simply holding assets. He stated that the company aims to actively engage with the XRP Ledger by deploying capital, supporting liquidity, and collaborating with builders to drive the growth of the institutional infrastructure needed for digital asset adoption.
Birla outlined his outlook, stressing that “finance has always moved slowly, and the infrastructure underneath can be even slower.” He described Evernorth’s launch as a pivotal move toward accelerating this pace and bringing digital assets into mainstream institutional finance.
The company’s approach involves hands-on participation in developing the XRP ecosystem, rather than taking a passive role. With its public listing, Evernorth offers institutional investors a new entry point to gain regulated exposure to XRP and the associated technology infrastructure.
Mini dictionary: Evernorth is a digital asset treasury platform designed to provide institutional investors with regulated access to XRP and its infrastructure by holding, managing, and deploying large digital asset reserves.
Birla’s outlook for financial infrastructure
In an open letter, Birla detailed his five-year perspective on the evolution of finance’s foundational systems. He identified two primary obstacles that have hindered blockchain adoption in mainstream finance: underdeveloped technical infrastructure and a lack of legal clarity. However, Birla believes these issues are now being resolved.
He referenced the passage of the first federal law on payment stablecoins in the US in 2025 as a milestone, expressing confidence that further clarity for the wider digital asset market is forthcoming. Birla also noted that blockchain technology offers significant speed improvements compared to legacy financial settlement systems, which he described as operating as though it were still the 1970s.
Birla emphasized that the tokenization of assets—including equities, bonds, real estate, and commercial properties—can transform them into programmable, instantly transferable digital financial instruments. Such assets, according to Birla, could autonomously execute interest payments and transactions based on embedded programmatic conditions.
XRP’s role in Evernorth’s strategy
XRP and the XRP Ledger form the cornerstone of Evernorth’s operations. By listing publicly, Evernorth introduces a regulated, exchange-traded product that connects institutional investors directly to the XRP ecosystem.
Evernorth’s active management strategy aims to enhance liquidity on the XRP Ledger, thereby increasing ongoing demand for XRP tokens. In a planned milestone, the company is scheduled to ring the Nasdaq closing bell on October 14, marking the start of trading under the XRPN symbol from October 12.
Birla concluded his letter by forecasting a substantial migration of financial activity to blockchains. He believes this transition will take place “sooner and on a larger scale than most in finance currently anticipate.”
Birla projects that more financial transactions will shift to blockchain platforms sooner than most traditional institutions expect, driven by improvements in technology and regulation.
