XRP, the cryptocurrency developed by Ripple Labs for fast, low-cost global payments, may be poised for a significant price move, according to technical analyst Dark Defender. The analyst has outlined an Elliott Wave scenario pointing to a potential surge in XRP’s value, citing key structural and momentum signals on the 10-day chart.
Technical setup and Elliott Wave road map
After spending months consolidating, XRP’s chart now reflects a completed Wave 1 and a technically finalized Wave 2 phase, as suggested by Dark Defender. The analyst notes that, despite recent volatility, XRP’s current structure remains intact, with indicators showing a setup for the next major phase.
XRP previously recorded an all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025. The following period saw the token undergo a five-wave correction that drove its price below $1 by August of the same year. While the decline was notable, it also formed what Dark Defender believes to be a base for a major trend reversal.
The subsequent price action was swift, as XRP rebounded from its low, climbing more than 50% in only 65 hours and eventually gaining more than 70% overall. This rally carried the asset up to $1.68, representing a multi-month high and the first bullish impulse (Wave 1) of the current cycle.
Nothing changed in the 10-day timeframe. Wave 1 is complete. Wave 2 is technically complete. The structure is ready; the RSI is ready. I expect the move above the $2 mark to start this month.
Current consolidation: Fibonacci support and RSI reset
Following the surge to $1.68, XRP entered a retracement and has since consolidated in the $1.20 to $1.25 range, which Dark Defender identifies as Wave 2. This area coincides with a dense Fibonacci retracement cluster, specifically between the 23.6% and 38.2% support levels, giving technical credibility to the ongoing pause.
The relative strength index (RSI), a momentum indicator, has also cooled during this phase, compressing to lower readings on the 10-day timeframe. According to Dark Defender, these conditions suggest that both the price structure and momentum are primed for the next bullish move.
Mini dictionary: Elliott Wave Theory is a technical analysis method that divides price movements into recurring waves, typically five-wave advances followed by three-wave corrections, to forecast future market trends based on collective investor psychology.
Bullish scenario: Next targets and price roadmap
Looking ahead, Dark Defender anticipates the start of Wave 3, which he projects will commence this month. His initial target is $7.07, aligning with the 361.8% Fibonacci extension, reflecting a remarkable gain of around 470% from the current level of $1.25.
| Wave | Price Target | Fibonacci Level | Approximate Gain from $1.25 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wave 3 | $7.07 | 361.8% | +470% |
| Wave 4 | $4.10 | 261.8% | +228% |
| Wave 5 | $10.11 | 427.2% | +708% |
The projected trajectory does not end upon reaching Wave 3. Dark Defender estimates that, after peaking near $7.07, XRP would undergo a pullback in Wave 4, targeting $4.10 before entering Wave 5. In the final stage, the price could exceed $10.11, marking more than an eightfold increase from the present price range.
The Fibonacci levels on the chart align with the wave targets precisely, and the RSI behavior on the same timeframe supports the timing. Both technical conditions now align with the wave count for an upward move.
