Aptos (APT), developed with layer-1 blockchain technology, has experienced a significant price surge after announcing its digital wallet infrastructure for the upcoming Expo 2025 event in Osaka, Japan. The cryptocurrency has gained approximately 9% in value over the past 24 hours, boosted by increased trading volume and the creation of new user accounts, thereby restoring confidence in the market.
Active Wallet Usage at Expo 2025
As the official digital wallet provider for Expo 2025, Aptos will offer a wide range of services including payment transactions, reward programs, and an NFT collection system. Over 558,000 transactions have already been completed as part of the expo, leading to the creation of 133,000 new accounts. This data indicates that the platform is beginning to be adopted by a broader audience.
During the first 48 hours of the event, there were 18,000 transactions and 2,600 new accounts created, demonstrating the system’s technical readiness and ability to meet high user demand. The expected 28 million visitors present a significant opportunity for Aptos to showcase real-world use cases.
Technical Indicators Support Strong Price Growth
Alongside the daily price increase, APT has also seen a nearly 50% rise in trading volume. According to CoinMarketCap data, investor interest is growing, with the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) and Fibonacci retracement levels being tested in key support and resistance zones. These technical indicators suggest that the upward price movement may continue.
Technical analysis tools like MACD and RSI also show a positive trend. Notably, the RSI approaching overbought territory indicates strong momentum, while convergence signals in the MACD suggest that the upward trend could persist in the short term. Experts believe that APT’s price may fluctuate between $5.81 and $6.63, with $10 starting to be discussed as a psychological resistance level.
