Bitcoin Blockchain’s art community “Nurorealm” lead artist Nuro, recently expressed his excitement and satisfaction after working on his 3D art on the “epik satoshi” won at an auction. This epik satoshi, the first satoshi extracted from Bitcoin’s last block reward halving block by ViaBTC, is now adorned with Nuro’s artwork, making it one of the most valuable digital assets in existence.
The First 3D Neurogenerative Piece
Winning the auction with the Bitcoin art community “Book of Blob” was a surreal experience for Nuro. The artwork titled “Spike #1” is the first 3D neurogenerative piece written to Bitcoin’s Ordinals protocol. Nuro, who also founded Book of Blob, aims to create a community at the intersection of art and technology on the Bitcoin network to express individual truths and preserve human consciousness.
The epic sitting-written artwork, accompanied by the AI-generated voice of music and electronic pop artist Grimes, is the result of over 12 months of work involving more than 50 libraries. Collaborative artists like Eloc, EPIC CHEF STEAKTOSHI, and Bop helped Nuro bring the artwork to life. Writing their works on the epic satoshi is a dream achievement for each artist and OG ordinals member, reflecting its significance within the Bitcoin art community.
At the auction organized by CoinEx Global, Book of Blob’s Asia leader “XBT” placed a winning bid worth 33.3 BTC, valued at $2.13 million at the time. The bidding strategy involved placing a high bid in the last minutes to secure the fourth epic satoshi, demonstrating the community’s determination to own art pieces and write valuable digital assets.
More Than a Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash Payment System
Although a satoshi is currently valued at $0.00065, the special satoshi requested by Book of Blobs naturally holds a collection value in the Bitcoin ecosystem. ViaBTC emphasized the importance of allocating this satoshi to communities in need as a tool to promote the development of Bitcoin beyond its initial use as a peer-to-peer electronic cash payment system.
The success of the auction and the placement of Nuro’s artwork on the epic sat highlight the increasing intersection of art, technology, and cryptocurrency within the Bitcoin community.
