Neutron (NTRN) is a smart contract platform developed using Tendermint and the Cosmos SDK, designed to facilitate cross-chain smart contract deployment. The Replicated Security (RS) feature enables developers to collaborate across various blockchains while leveraging the security of the Cosmos Hub.
What Is Neutron?
Neutron is a non-custodial smart contract platform built using Tendermint and the Cosmos SDK. It is specifically designed to ease cross-chain smart contract deployment and natively supports CosmWasm, Replicated Security (formerly known as Interchain Security), and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocols.
The Replicated Security (RS) feature offers developers the robust Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism security of the Cosmos Hub, a decentralized blockchain that facilitates collaboration among different blockchains.
RS allows a consumer blockchain like Neutron to create blocks using resources from a provider blockchain, Cosmos Hub. Node operators receive additional ATOM tokens for this service and can be penalized for failing to validate blocks for the consumer blockchain. Neutron also supports IBC, Interchain Queries (ICQ), and Interchain Accounts (ICA), enabling seamless communication of smart contracts with other blockchains. It also facilitates complex processes such as cross-chain collateralization and liquid staking.
ICQ ensures that smart contracts securely retrieve information from remote blockchains without relying on third-party oracles. This allows developers to create cost-effective and efficient cross-chain applications.

Neutron overcomes these limitations by granting access to the features of various blockchains and enabling simultaneous access to multiple markets.
