What is Prosper (PROS)?
Prosper (PROS) platform aims to provide short-term predictions and hedging opportunities. Prosper technically examines binary predictions, allowing you to delve deep into details and hedge your risks. The binary predictions of Prosper are just the tip of the iceberg; the real journey begins as you go deeper.
In general, Prosper can be considered a type of Uniswap designed for predictions. Prosper uses Chainlink price feeds to determine the final price. Decentralized price feeds enable protection against market manipulation and high security for user funds. Prosper currently uses Chainlink price feeds on the Binance Smart Chain and the Ethereum Kovan testnet. Chainlink provides price feeds only for BNB/USD pairs, but diversification of these pairs is planned for the future.
Prosper has a recurring task that is automatically triggered every 10 seconds to check the latest block number on BSC. If any prediction pool ends within this checked block range, Prosper calls the trigger method and waits for the final price from the Chainlink feed contract. As soon as the Prosper contract receives the response, it determines the final price for the ended prediction pools. If the trigger method cannot get a price feed, it repeats this process until it gets a response from the Chainlink feed contract.
