A significant development occurred today in the world of cryptocurrency. Revolut has introduced a crypto exchange for advanced investors. Revolut currently offers basic crypto services to most of its 30 million customers. The new exchange will provide lower fees and advanced market analyses.
Revolut Invites Customers to Test New Platform
Asking customers to test the new platform, Revolut announced, “We are launching a new crypto exchange designed for advanced investors. You will find deeper analytical tools and lower fees in the app.”
The exchange has set fees ranging from 0% to 0.09%, and added functionality to enable users to trade using limit and market orders. Limit orders are typically used when an investor wants to buy or sell an asset at a specific price. There will be no fees for limit orders on the exchange.
Crypto Services Suspended in the UK Last December
Revolut had suspended crypto services for its commercial customers in the UK last December, citing new regulations from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) covering crypto promotions.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Revolut planned to list BONK, Solana‘s biggest meme coin, in a “learn and earn” campaign aimed at distributing BONK to some of its customers.
Revolut’s current focus on opening its crypto exchange to advanced investors indicates the path ahead for the platform. Revolut is likely to expand its offerings by making the exchange available to the general public in the future. This suggests that Revolut could be a contender in the crypto exchange rankings going forward.
