Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama confirmed that the Shibarium mainnet will be released at the Blockchain Futurist Conference and ETH hackathon event, which will take place in Canada next week. The suspension of the Shibarium testnet PuppyNet for approximately 3 days and the transition of Shibarium validators to the mainnet next week are increasing speculation about a close launch.
Shibarium to be Released Next Week
The Shibarium testnet PuppyNet has not processed any block transactions for the past 3 days. According to Puppyscan, the last block transaction took place on August 5th. Interestingly, the Shibarium testnet was suspended after 35 million transactions were executed and more than 17 million wallet addresses were reached.
Some members of the community believe that the release of the Shibarium mainnet is imminent due to the transition of validators to the mainnet. Although this does not indicate whether the preparations for the Shibarium mainnet are complete, it suggests a possible launch next week.
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu representative Lucie confirmed that the Shibarium mainnet version will be launched in the next few days. Lucie stated that there are exciting news for the community as the Shiba Inu ecosystem prepares to “initiate the token burn process.” Lead developer Shytoshi Kusama also confirmed the Shibarium mainnet launch at the Blockchain Futurist Conference in a previous blog post. He said:
“We are very busy working on finishing and launching Shibarium and concluding the Shibarium Summer Party at the Blockchain Futurist Conference!”
