Solana team’s successfully launched crypto phone series continues to see high levels of interest as the release of the new generation product approaches, roughly a year away. According to a Solana spokesperson, the second version of the Solana Mobile Saga, named Solana Mobile Chapter 2, has reached 60,000 pre-orders in less than three weeks.
Significant Developments in Solana Mobile Orders
Solana Labs‘ co-founder and CEO Anatoly Yakovenko expressed his excitement about the process and made noteworthy statements:
“The reactions to Solana Mobile have been incredible. Since the announcement of Chapter 2, we have received over 60,000 pre-orders and have built a true community of dedicated users.”
Solana Mobile announced the second version of its hit crypto phone, the Solana Mobile Saga, on January 16th, offering a more affordable way for users to own a physical phone with built-in crypto-supported software. While the Solana Chapter 2 wallet can be purchased for $450, the phones are planned to start shipping in 2025.
According to earlier reports, the Solana Mobile Saga, initially introduced in June 2022, cost $1,000 before its price tag was reduced to $599. The sales of Saga in the US ended on December 15, 2023.
Solana Ecosystem and Airdrop Culture
Solana Mobile created a leaderboard to rank the number of referrals made by individuals before the launch of Chapter 2, and the first 1,500 people will have the chance to receive a non-transferable Element NFT and rewards from Solana ecosystem teams like Mad Lads, Jupiter, Tensor, and Backpack. The first snapshot of the leaderboard was taken on February 6th, and each pre-order wallet will receive a pre-order token after each snapshot.
