The protocol consists of four main components: modular data availability, non-custodial smart contracts, universal circuits, and zkEVM proof. Under modular data availability, call data from every transaction is processed by Celestia (TIA), significantly reducing the cost of each transaction processed on Manta Pacific. For non-custodial smart contracts, projects on Manta Pacific can be deployed using Solidity-based smart contracts compatible with the EVM environment.
Thanks to universal circuits, developers can leverage Manta Pacific’s universal circuits, offering a library of generalized and pre-compiled ZK circuits for various use cases, including DeFi, GameFi, identity, and more, to create ZK-enabled applications. Additionally, zkEVM proof verifies transactions after they are aggregated once to provide cryptographic-level security.

MANTA coin is the native asset of the Manta Network, serving multiple purposes, including governance, staking, collator delegation, network fees, native liquidity, and collateral. MANTA coin holders can participate in network governance decisions on both Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic. Coin holders can contribute to the overall security of Manta Atlantic by staking their MANTA.
MANTA holders have the option to delegate their assets to collators or run their own collators to secure the network by staking MANTA. MANTA coin can be used to pay for Manta Atlantic transaction fees and as native liquidity and collateral in the Manta ecosystem services.
