Web3 startup Bastion has publicly announced the appointment of former a16z and Kraken Chief of Staff Caroline Friedman as its new Chief Operating Officer. Friedman took over her new role following her tenure as the firm’s Operations Manager since February.
A New Direction for Bastion
According to company officials, as COO, Friedman will oversee Bastion’s compliance processes, regulatory matters, employee plans, public policy, and financial operations. Caroline Friedman commented on the development:

Before her roles at a16z and Kraken, Friedman served as an Assistant United States Attorney responsible for Major Crimes and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for National Security and International Crimes. According to her LinkedIn profile, Friedman is among the founding members of Bastion.
