Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr announced that it has launched Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) support for zkSync Hyperchains created with the ZK Stack solution in collaboration with Matter Labs. According to the statement, Ankr also mentioned that it is the first company to enable developers to easily customize scalable and secure independent Layer-2 networks for their decentralized applications.
Partnership between Matter Labs and Ankr
Matter Labs, the developer of zkSync, attracted attention by releasing ZK Stack in June to create Hyperchains and provided an open-source modular framework to create independent ZK-supported chains. With this step, Matter Labs aimed to create interconnected blockchain ecosystems using zero-knowledge proofs technology, alongside the zkSync Era ecosystem and Layer-2 or Layer-3 solutions.
Ankr customers can now use RaaS support to create custom blockchain networks for specific use cases. However, an important step needs to be taken as the usage function of Hyperchains is currently limited to a test network environment. Kev Silk, Senior Product Manager at Ankr, used the following statements regarding the agreement:
“Hyperchains of the ZK Stack have the potential to be one of the most powerful aggregation options available to developers. In addition to Ankr’s seamless customization and deployment, the distinctive scalability and security features will make Hyperchains an important evolution for the Layer-2 space as a whole.”
