Crypto currency markets continue to make significant strides in all areas of life. A survey on the role of cryptocurrency in the 2024 United States Presidential Elections revealed notable results. According to the survey, approximately 73% of participants said that candidates should be knowledgeable about innovative technology.
Noteworthy Survey Results
Grayscale Investments commissioned a survey by The Harris Poll, which found that 73% of the 2,090 adult participants agreed or somewhat agreed that a US presidential candidate should have an informed perspective on innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence or crypto. The survey was conducted online between November 27 and November 29.
According to the Grayscale survey, crypto is of interest to Americans in the 2024 elections, with 26% of participants saying inflation is currently the most urgent problem in the country. About 40% of participants who are knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies said they would be more interested in owning Bitcoin amid inflation and the current economy, while about 40% of those unfamiliar with crypto said they would be less interested. Grayscale commented on the survey:
“In the past, inflation and other economic concerns have generated interest in investing in assets like Bitcoin. Those familiar with Bitcoin see it as a macro asset, and there may be a need for additional education to help a broader audience understand emerging technologies like Bitcoin.”
Excitement Continues for US Elections
In January, New Hampshire will hold one of the first primaries for the 2024 US presidential elections, providing pollsters and political experts with an early glimpse of how the election might unfold on November 5. Although some presidential candidates, including Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, have made crypto assets a central part of their campaigns, this issue may not be the main topic of discussion once the candidates are finalized.
The Stand With Crypto campaign hosted a presidential forum in a US state on December 4, but only three candidates attended the event, and all continue to remain on the sidelines for their party’s nomination.
