German telecom giant Deutsche Telekom has announced a collaboration with the Fetch.ai Foundation, a joint venture with Bosch to create innovative artificial intelligence applications and services by providing tools for the altcoin project Fetch.ai (FET). The telecommunications company has become the first corporate partner of the Fetch.ai Foundation.
The Collaboration Includes Deutsche Telekom’s Subsidiary MMS
The collaboration also includes Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary MMS, which will act as a validator for the decentralized Fetch.ai Blockchain network. MMS’s role as a validator will be used to facilitate and secure transactions across various sectors, including health and automotive, by leveraging AI-driven autonomous agents in the Fetch.ai network.
Dirk Röder, Head of Web3 Infrastructure and Solutions Team at Deutsche Telekom MMS, commented on the collaboration, saying “The cooperation between Deutsche Telekom, Fetch.ai, and Bosch is groundbreaking and combines industrial applications with the Internet of Things (IoT). Autonomous agents will automate industrial services, simplify processes, and make them secure and scalable thanks to blockchain technology.”
Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh also commented on the partnership, stating “The collaboration is a significant milestone for Fetch.ai. Agents can integrate real-world use cases into the existing network through the exploration, development, and practical application of artificial intelligence and decentralized Web3 technologies.” Fetch.ai is known to be a fully open-source platform built on the Cosmos infrastructure, promoting the integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence for transformative industry applications.
Peter Busch, Head of Distributed Ledger Technology Mobility at Bosch and Chairman of the Fetch.ai Foundation Board, commented on the collaboration, “For Bosch, the collaboration with Deutsche Telekom is an important step in advancing artificial intelligence and Web3. In addition to Bosch’s expertise in the automotive field, Deutsche Telekom offers its infrastructure and expertise to the Fetch.ai Foundation.”
MMS, Fetch.ai, and Bosch to Convene at BCX Event
Furthermore, MMS, Fetch.ai, and Bosch will be present at the Bosch Connected Experience (BCX) innovation event on February 28 and 29, which includes a hackathon aimed at promoting the growth of IoT technologies. According to an announcement by Fetch.ai, BCX participants will be able to generate new ideas using the Fetch.ai Blockchain.
