In its fourth airdrop event, Optimism surprised the day by distributing over 10 million OP tokens to 22,998 users. In this airdrop event aimed at NFT artists, users earned the right to receive OP tokens based on NFTs they published on Zora, Base, Ethereum, or on the Optimism side. The team’s statement also included an important emphasis on the need for artists in every major community. According to data announced by Optimism, more than 200,000 addresses have created NFT collections on the OP Superchain to date.
An important warning also came from the team regarding this airdrop event. The team warned users against the increasingly common phishing scams and advised them to get information from the official Optimism pages.

It was stated that the criteria for receiving these assets in exchange for certain standards may not be suitable for future airdrop criteria.
