In recent weeks, the rise of meme coins with a strong appearance has occupied the market for a long time. Later on, different events occurred, and attention turned to the Solana network and its meme coins. Investors poured thousands of SOL into successive projects, seeking the significant gains created by BOME. Meanwhile, a strange event happened with a meme coin named SLERF. So, what happened with SLERF?
What’s Happening with SLERF?
Slerfsol (SLERF), one of the new meme coins on the Solana network supported by the community, made a successful market entry after its creator burned tokens worth 10 million dollars in Solana on March 18.
As of the time of writing, SLERF has a market value of 505 million dollars. On the other hand, the project was listed on multiple exchanges and is trading at the 1 dollar level. The day before, the creator with the same name had accidentally sent 535,000 investors’ SOL to a burn address during the emergence of SLERF.
After this process, the creator, with the coin’s wallet address holding 3,000 SOL, openly sought support to reunite users under one roof.
Major Support from Exchanges
On the same day, a significant development occurred, and the cryptocurrency exchange BingX communicated to Slerf through X that it would return all transaction fees generated from SLERF trading on its platform to the project itself.
BingX also indicated that it would airdrop future BingX World Debut tokens to addresses that participated in the Slerf special sale but did not receive $SLERF tokens. Responding to these statements, Slerf said:
Thank you so much (BingX). I’m shaking. This is insane. You guys are amazing.
Bitget’s general manager Gracy Chen also made a similar statement, announcing that the exchange would donate all SLERF transaction fees generated on Bitget to the SLERF community and assist those who participated in the presale, adding:
Donation details will be announced weekly. WAGMI.
Meanwhile, Justin Sun, a prominent figure in cryptocurrencies, stated that HTX exchange would also donate all revenue from SLERF transactions to the protocol and said:
HTX has decided to donate all Slerf trading revenue at @HTX_Global and allocate to everyone who participated in the special sales at HTX, as well as donate a sum of HTX for Slerf’s trading fee mining on HTX! Users first.
