Analyst Jamie Coutts emphasizes a price increase expectation for Solana 
$168 (SOL). In a post on social media platform X, Coutts noted that SOL has been consolidating within a significant triangular formation over the past six months. The completion of this formation could lead to a substantial breakout in price movement.
Technical Analysis and Price Expectations
Coutts stated that if the upper boundary of the triangle is breached, a significant price movement for SOL could occur. SOL is consolidating against both USD and Bitcoin (BTC) 
$106,342, while showing improvements in on-chain metrics. According to the analyst, these developments may signal a considerable price jump.
On-Chain Metric Status
In the last six months, SOL’s price movements have resulted in an increase in active addresses and total value locked (TVL). Growth has also been observed in the stablecoin market. However, Coutts believes that on-chain usage metrics are generally declining. The rise in active addresses has not translated into increased revenue, potentially due to Solana’s unique chain dynamics.
dApp Development and Competition
Coutts indicated that Solana continues to be a hub for decentralized application (dApp) development. He also highlighted that it competes with Bitcoin in terms of daily fee revenue. Both absolute and relative charts against BTC show a distinct triangular formation.
Price Target
The price target for Solana may range from $210 to $220, should the triangular formation break upwards. These levels are anticipated to serve as initial stopping points in the next bull market. Currently, SOL is trading at around $165.
