Binance, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, is preparing to cease support for the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) network. According to an official announcement, as the BNB Chain team completely ends its support for the network, Binance will stop withdrawals of BEP2 tokens on November 1, 2024. Deposits of BEP2 tokens will also conclude on November 8, 2024, with exceptions. However, Binance-pegged tokens (B-tokens) will continue to be supported.
Important Deadlines for BEP2 Transactions
The most crucial date for users is the termination of BEP2 token withdrawals on November 1, 2024. After this date, Binance will not accept any withdrawal transactions via the BNB Beacon Chain.
Additionally, BEP2 token deposits will cease on November 8, 2024. To prevent any inconvenience, users are advised to transfer their BEP2 B-token investments to Binance accounts and utilize alternative networks. B-tokens deposited into the cryptocurrency exchange can be withdrawn directly through other networks supported by Binance.
Closure of the BNB Beacon Chain Network
The BNB Chain team will completely deactivate the BNB Beacon Chain network on November 19, 2024. Binance has stated that no transactions will be performed for the BNB Beacon Chain after this date.
Therefore, users must complete their deposits and withdrawals before the specified deadlines; otherwise, such transactions will not be possible.
