What Are Ordinals?

Ordinals is a protocol that enables adding extra data to the smallest unit of Bitcoin, the Satoshi. This provides users with a unique opportunity to create their own collections and NFTs. The protocol allows anyone to embed text and data into Bitcoin, offering additional flexibility and the potential to enhance Bitcoin’s market share.

These NFTs and collections are made possible by introducing the BRC-20 token standard. This standard provides guidelines for creating new assets, allowing developers to operate within a larger ecosystem. Currently, BRC-20 tokens hold assets worth over $900 million, and Ordinals aims to further increase this figure. So far, more than 200,000 Ordinals have been created.

Ordinals aims to address some challenges within the Bitcoin ecosystem. Specifically, it makes Bitcoin more accessible for NFTs, which are unique digital tokens capable of representing real-world assets. NFTs are a rapidly growing sector, and Ordinals facilitates the creation of Bitcoin-backed NFTs without the need for sidechains. This enables the creation of on-chain and off-chain elements representing ownership of Ordinals. Additionally, rare and exclusive collection pieces can also be crafted. Since Satoshis are a unit of Bitcoin, any Bitcoin user can easily access Ordinals.

ORDI Coin serves as the utility token for the Ordinals protocol, primarily used to pay transaction fees within the protocol. ORDI coin is also used to participate in governance, effectively making it a governance token.

Where to Buy ORDI Coin?

ORDI Coin can be purchased on Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. On November 7, ORDI was listed on Binance in the ORDI/BTC, ORDI/USDT, and ORDI/TRY trading pairs, making it available for trading.

To buy ORDI Coin, users must first register on Binance (if they haven’t already). After completing the registration process, users need to transfer either cryptocurrency or fiat currency such as USD into their Binance wallet. Once the transfer is complete, ORDI Coin can be purchased through any of the three trading pairs mentioned above.

To buy through the ORDI/USDT trading pair, users should navigate to the interface of this trading pair. On the limit tab within the interface, users can enter the amount they wish to purchase. After entering the amount, the purchase is completed with the “Buy ORDI” command.
