Leading investors back privacy-first infrastructure

Sigma Capital led the new $8 million round, joined by NTC, Nxgen, Digital Consensus Fund, and EAK Ventures. The investment follows previous backing from DWF Labs and Block Alpha. This diverse group of investors supports Beldex’s vision of integrating privacy as a foundational element rather than a supplementary feature.

Beldex focuses on creating composable infrastructure that allows developers to natively implement shielded smart contracts and encrypted agent identities. The company reports that the fresh capital will be used to engineer a unified privacy layer supporting both functionality and security for decentralized applications.

Roadmap: Homomorphic encryption, quantum resistance, and EVM sidechain

The funding will accelerate Beldex’s work on Fully Homomorphic Encryption research and the development of quantum-resistant consensus mechanisms. These technologies are expected to secure confidential data and withstand future computational threats, including those posed by quantum computing.

Additionally, Beldex plans to launch an EVM-compatible sidechain to enable the seamless processing of sensitive data while maintaining robust privacy guarantees for application users and AI agents.

Mini dictionary: Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is an advanced cryptographic technique that allows computation on encrypted data without decrypting it, ensuring data privacy throughout the processing stages.

Vineet Budki, Managing Director & CEO at Sigma Capital, highlighted Beldex’s commitment to privacy:

“Beldex spent years building privacy into the infrastructure itself. With AI agents and Web3 applications now demanding greater privacy, we believe Beldex is exceptionally well positioned for the next era of Web3. That conviction is why we chose to lead this round.”

Expansion of product suite and global reach

Beldex will channel the new funds into launching its Extension Wallet and a comprehensive suite of Software Development Kits (SDKs). These tools are set to lower barriers for global developers by democratizing access to advanced cryptographic features. The company aims to embed confidentiality by default into thousands of decentralized applications, making privacy a standard rather than an exception.

Afanddy Bin Hushni, Chairman of Beldex, stated that the company’s architecture is designed to ensure encryption for every byte of data, whether powering AI agent decision trees or secure messaging, before it enters the network.

“With this new $8 million capital raise, we’re finally able to start creating, building the vessel from the ground up to ensure that every byte of data, whether that’s an AI agent’s entire decision tree or a simple message, is encrypted by default before it ever hits the network.”

Dr. Alex Mok Kong Ming, Chief Operating Officer at Beldex, added that the company has evolved from supporting privacy for basic blockchain transactions to building foundational privacy infrastructure for consumers, developers, and AI agents alike. He noted that growing AI autonomy increases the demand for secure and private data handling, emphasizing Beldex’s mission to address this need at the protocol level.

Cross-chain interoperability and quantum-resistant technology

A portion of the funds will be allocated to the expansion of Beldex’s cross-chain capabilities, including the development of secure bridges to networks such as Ethereum, Solana, and Base. The company is also working on quantum-resistant messaging protocols and refining its VRF-based consensus mechanism to safeguard against emerging computational risks.

By integrating these advancements, Beldex aspires to shift from a niche privacy protocol to a foundational platform for a new internet environment, where AI and decentralized finance can operate securely and confidentially within a user-centric ecosystem.
